Race to the bottom

In his speech to the nation on Thursday September 8,President Obama neglected to acknowledge and credit as his role model the VFX Soldier, when he pointed out that we need to replace our "race to the bottom" mentality, with a race to the top. When Michelle Bachman suggests that the remedy to our current economic malaise is repeal of the minimum wage, she takes that race to the bottom all the way to its ultimate and illogical conclusion. Hats off to the Soldier; your unflagging efforts to point out the insanity of reducing wages and imposing cruel and inhumane working conditions to more effectively compete with third world countries are beginning to take hold. America succeeds because of our belief in education, innovation, creativity, and willingness to push the envelope. We're not cheaper. We're just better.
